After a couple of days at Lomond Lodge close to the center of Queenstown, I moved to Aspen at fernhill…. A larger room, better facilities and much better view from my room.
And a shft from 3 star to 4 star… And 25% cheaper. But further from the city… No longer walking distance… Still very recommendable.
I did the photosafari (www.photosafari.co.nz) and it is highly recommendable. In short, I learned how to use the manual settings and composition to create great pictures…. The shooting was in Paradise. It was snowing and cooold – but I believe I got a few good shots. Judge for yourself:

Saturday I went to Deer Park Heights, a place near queenstown, where parts of Lords Of The Rings was filmed… And what a view: To the lake (New Zealands longst), to the mountains named the Remarkables (the 2nd mountain range in the world, which goes strictly North-South. The other is Rocky Mountains), to Queenstown town, to Fankton, To Coronet Peak. WAAU… Se my panorama (app. 180 degrees)…
