I am currently waiting for my ride to the airport. So far the driver is 1 hour late?! So I have time to update my blog about the Iguazu Falls. The Falls are nominated as one of the new 7 wonders of nature…. And I understand why:
The falls is majestic. Spanning 2700 meters, and 275 individual falls make it look like one gigant fall. From the Brazilian side there is a majestic panoramic view. 80% of the falls are on the Argentine side of the Iguazu river, while most of the largest waterfall – Devils Throat is mostly on the Brazil side. The Devils Throat is 82 meters high, 150 meters wide and 700 meter long!!! Waau…
Other main falls are among others the San Martin (showed in the film The Mission)
– also very impressive!
The feeling of walking alongside, sometimes over (on walkways) and under the majesti waterfalls can most precisely be expressed as: Waau!
In my humble opinion, this waterfall deserves to be one of the new 7 wonders… It has my vote (and I have also seen Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe)…
