I arrived in Auckland around midnight yesterday… At the customs counter I was cross-examined because
I met a new friend – John – in Fiji, who told me, I could stay at his place if I ever were to visit Auckland… So I took him up on this and arranged that he would pick me up in the airport…
And I therefore didn’t know where I was staying, or had a phone number or a full name. Which the customs officers found weird… So a visit to the special queue, where all items in the baggage are examined and dogs sniff at the things was in order…
Luckily I do not look like a criminal, so after a thorough interview I didn’t have to strip or anything else… Around 1am I was out of the airport on my way with John to his house….
Today Joh and his girlfriend Chisato have shown me around in Auckland. And I have learned, that winter here in Kiwi-lan is cooold. Well 12 degrees celcius but still.
So I had to shop for proper winter clothing… So now I am planning to go ski in the national park. I have no idea how on earth am I to carry this. Maybee I should send a parcel with some of my clothes to Thailand (this is the only address I know) or home…
