Rio is impressive. As I were flying in, saw the wast size, the sugar loaf and the crist redemptor, the beaches and all the activity… A feeling of arriving at the right time at the right place struck me…
I must admit. Sitting here at Copacapana with a cold capihirina with two danish friends I just met: Henrik and Palle. Looking at the beach, people and feeling the heat… I am impressed with Rio.
We went to a very nice parilla place. Not the cheapest, but very very nice indeed. Eat what you can… And we all got stuffed.
Later in the evening, I get intimitated by the size and passion of the Carnival. After all this i T-1, the day before the official start, and in downtown (Lapa), there are already hundred of thousands people partying hard…
We decide to go to a disco on the Copacabana Henrik knew about, and soon after we are 5 people crammed into a taxi and on the way. The disco is walking distance from my hotel, so I don’t complain!
Waau… Many people, hot and humid and brazilian and european music streams out of the loudspeakers. It’s 1 o’clock and everybody seems pretty happy. I got up 5 am after 3 hours of sleep, but are still dancing as crazy with all the beautifu cariocas there… At 5 am I hear my bed calling and walks home…
Just to get up 10am to get breakfast and move hotel. DAMN. Why wasen’t I able to get ONE hotel for the duration of my stay…
Long story short: Rio rocks… And the carnival haven’t started yet!
I am currently waiting for my ride to the airport. So far the driver is 1 hour late?! So I have time to update my blog about the Iguazu Falls. The Falls are nominated as one of the new 7 wonders of nature…. And I understand why: Read the rest of this entry »
After a 2 hour flight from Buenos Aires, which was 50 minute late, I arrived at Foz de iguazu on the Argentine side. It turns out, that this place is actually three countries whic border the Iguazu River: Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina… Interesting in deed! Read the rest of this entry »
